Florentine Etchings by Vincenzo Volpi

Creating these works of limited-edition art is a multi-step process. All of the steps, from the creation of the copperplate to the printing and finally coloring, are done by hand.
Vincenzo Volpi, a native Florentine, is a founding member of the Studio Calcografico Ippogrifo in Florence which has become a thriving center for the study of the ancient art of etching. He and his family now reside in the Mugello region of Tuscany. His wife hand-colors the etchings in watercolor.
